• LES DELICES DE BELLEVILLE

  • Hôtel Vetements started as a project. Designer, Alexandra Hartmann wanted to tell the story of old, functional fabrics like hotel curtains by transforming them into unique one-of-a-kind pieces of clothing. After calling every hotel in Paris, she managed to obtain a variety of old curtains, bed sheets and tablecloths. Together with an old box of buttons that had been in her family for generations, Alexandra created the first ever Hôtel Vetements collection named after her favourite bakery and neighbourhood where she grew up in Paris, Les Délices de Belleville - a collection filled with childhood memories rapt in a cake box. In the presence of family and friends and beautiful fabrics like genoa velvet and antique Parisian prints, the first shoot was shot in Hôtel Amour in Paris, where everything down to hair accessories were made of leftover fabrics.
