Hôtel Vetements is a French - Danish brand that got established in 2017.
Coming across old hotel curtains triggered an impulse and gave the name
Hôtel Vetements to the brand.
The founder, Alexandra Hartmann started to create unique,
one of a kind pieces from beautiful,
discarded fabrics with a story.

With a passion for upcycling, local work, quality and aesthetics, Hôtel Vetements brings new life to old curtains, upholsteries, handmade embroideries, linens, tablecloths, napkins and more.
The fabrics mainly come from
Paris and some are dating all the way back to the 1800s
like the curtains we sourced from the Ritz Hôtel in Paris.

Working with these materials is a thoughtful process. There is very little waste since the size of the fabric is often a restriction. The textile imposes itself to you and you need to improvise and work with what you get. It's a process that takes time, simple and complex all at once.

The pieces are handmade in our studio in the heart of Belleville, Paris.
Waste fabrics are used to create matching accessories, such as scrunchies, eye masks, and more.

We use some of the amazing resources already available.
Beautiful relics from the past just waiting to be upcycled and not forgotten.
Hôtel Vetments explores the art of memory and storytelling through every piece.
